13. Environmental regulations in Montana are too stringent: SS
14. Environmental regulations in Montana are NOT stringent enough: SO* Montana has the opportunity to continue to provide jobs and economical foundations through environmentally safe management of natural resources. To outsource the procurement of resources, Montana supports unsafe and environmentally unsound practices, globally.
15. Montanans should not be discriminated against or treated differently because of their vaccine status: O* Transmitting a virus through your own negligence, and causing the death of another who cannot medically receive a vaccine is a selfless act of apathy toward your fellow human being. Worldwide “Estimated measles deaths increased 43% during 2021–2022, from 95,000 to 136,200. Nonetheless, an estimated 57 million measles deaths were averted by vaccination during 2000–2022.”

26. Companies and individuals should be allowed to opt-out of the abortion related mandates contained in Obamacare: O* “Companies and individuals should be allowed to opt-out of the abortion related mandates contained in Obamacare:” This is misleading. There is no such thing as Obama care. The ACA does not mandate anything about abortion. Under the ACA, insurance plans are neither required to nor prohibited from covering abortion.
27. Transgender athletes should be allowed to compete against athletes of the opposite sex: SO
28. Doctors should be banned from performing sex-change procedures on minors: SS
29. Homosexuals and transgender people should be allowed to adopt children: SS

31. Montana’s marriage laws should be changed to reflect the legalization of same-sex marriage by the U.S. Supreme Court: SS* Athletic completion is categorized by male and female based on competitive ability unique to physiology. Choice of gender takes away competitive opportunities for all and strips away from equal rights for women. Too many children are stuck in the foster care system and further restrictions on abortion could further stress that system. Denying opportunities for single parents, same sex partners, and transgender people infers a lack of capability or morality to function as a parent. Non-discrimination laws are human rights laws and when properly applied, apply to all equally.
